Commissioned by the Kingston City Council this mural is located in the middle of a RAMSAR listed wetland which supports many endangered migratory bird species including 1% of the remaining global population of Sharp Tailed Sandpipers which fly here all the way from the Arctic Circle and Siberia every year. These tiny birds make their way here along the East Asian Flyway which I have referenced in the background of this mural, many of the wetland locations marked as red dots have been destroyed or drained to make way for industry.
